Job Description :

Duties and Responsibilities :

All duties are to be undertaken in line with the Company policy, and demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practices.

• Develop the look/feel of the websites and ensure that they are consistently onbrand

• Manage the optimization of all websites to ensure maximum customer conversion.

• Analyze and improve the customer journey/experience.

• Manage and evolve our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) plan.

• Create/source images and graphics, and upload them to the websites.

• Liase with the rest of the marketing team to ensure that all website content is onbrand

• Communicate with product managers to ensure we’re getting the correct content to market.

• Support the Marketing and Commercial Manager, and the rest of the team, to achieve department objectives.

• Provide strategic advice about Infoway’s web presence to the Head of Administration

• Review, develop and maintain all aspects of the Infoway’s website, ensuring that the design is of a quality consistent with the demands of our website with its corporate identity

• Design, specify, install, configure and maintain web-based systems and services to meet the requirements of Infoway’s Integrate systems and services with LDAP directory services (AD) as well as other appropriate systems across Infoway’s and the parent Universities, in line with the existing Infoway’s technology base and document these accordingly

• Develop, implement and oversee arrangements to devolve content management, co-ordinate content contributions from non-technical colleagues, and participate in the development of this content

• Track developments in web technologies and standards and keep up to date with current best practice

• Provide support and advice for staff on matters relating to the Infoway’s online presence, including first-line support for technical issues and training for those with devolved content management responsibilities

• Provide advice to colleagues and end users involved in web/database programming and web hosting

• Ensure optimal availability, security and performance of web infrastructure

• Implement backup and recovery procedures in collaboration with other systems administrators

• Prepare detailed project plans for upgrades and developments to web-based services and manage

• implementation projects as required (including the use of external providers where appropriate)

• Develop and maintain web-based solutions that support integrated user-authentication and granular permissions

• Create and maintain documentation to enable technical staff to maintain normal operation if the post holder is absent

• Develop, implement and document a systematic approach to the maintenance, tracking and implementation of changes to production and test IT environments

• Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade as directed by the Head of Administration

• As our Website Manager, you will work within the marketing department but will also liaise on a daily basis with product managers.

• The primary role will be to manage the day to day content for the various websites. Also the successful candidate will be responsible for driving forward the development of the websites.


Qualification :

• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline or equivalent relevant experience

Knowledge :

• In-depth knowledge of web server technologies and technical administration of large-scale services.Accessibility standards.

Skills/abilities/competencies :

• Excellent web design and development skills, including knowledge of HTML, CSS2, PHP & SQL.

• Excellent planning and organizational skills. Administering web server technologies e.g. SQL server, Windows server.

• Ability to communicate precise information (verbal and written) to colleagues with varying degrees of IT literacy. Meticulous attention to detail and standards.

Experience :

• Web systems administration in a professional IT service with a minimum of 2yrs. Planning, testing, documenting and
implementing new IT systems using a Rigorous, methodical approach.

• Working under own initiative and as part of a team.

• Prioritizing across several projects and Support tasks simultaneously. Dealing with end users as well as with colleagues at all levels.
